This is my favourite time of the year. Mostly for the colours. All those gorgeous hues of rich reds and burnt orange. I love that the California sun has lost some of its ferocity and there's, fingers crossed, rain on the horizon. I can't stop smiling as we drive past fields of pumpkins near Half Moon Bay, and the front porches in my neighbourhood are a feast for the eyes, a harvest festival of gourds of all shapes and sizes.
My own front porch complete with orange lovelies. And my gorgeous wine cork wreath:-)
Our dining room is the perfect colour for fall. I collected moss covered twigs from a local country park for the dining table arrangement.
Out and about with Mark and Ruby foraging for good-looking twigs.
So all these spectacular colours lead me on to what I've been making recently. I've been collecting a lot of wool fabric samples and have loved creating a range of totes and messenger bags.
Wool tote with needle felted details.
Cross-body bag in rich, warm tones.
Messenger bag in those gorgeous colours again. I made this one a little while ago. I just adore that folkloric style fabric.
And mustn't forget this wool and linen over-sized clutch...
